Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she participates in Passover seders.
